Any tips on changing front brake pads?

I wouldn't recommend you changing the brakes, if you're uncertain about how to do it.

yes,let a mechanic do it,is a easy job to do,but if you have to ask it tells me you have never done this

I had to have my whole brake not only shoes but rotors and calipers my Kia spectra rusted so bad there and started to pit on the drums they also had to be ground down because of the pitting. My can had about 99,000 when They started to get noisy and I first noticed it. I had already changed the brake shoes before that and the calipers start to rust and stick too which caused them to go bad faster. I love my Spectra, but that has been a problem! I live in Wisconsin, and I guess they are not made for salt in winter! That could be the problem Kathy
