2014 C250 reliability

Yup, the vehicle is having issues that the previous owner didn't want to fix or they tried to fix it a few times with no luck so they got rid of it. Keep shopping!! Hope that helps! Jim

Many of these people that claim that BMW. Mercedes, etc. are money pits, do so because they have zero basic repair skills. I saw someone complain that they paid $2,000 for a brake job on a 2014 Mercedes C Class. LOL. The brake pads cost $70 at an auto parts store, and genuine Mercedes pads cost $94 at FCP Euro. It's literally a 30 minute job to replace them. No more difficult than on a Chevrolet. Any brake shop could do it. Another claimed that "Mercedes tires" are too expensive. You can buy Goodyear, Pirelli, Michelin, Cooper... any high speed tire you want... at Tire Rack, your local discount tire shop or even Walmart. People who take their out of warranty cars to delaerships are asting money, 100% of the time. My last car was a 2003 BMW 330XI. Bought i with 90k on it in 2008. It's sitting in my garage with 186k on it right now, February 2021. The only time it ever went to a shop was for tires and alignments. Everything else can be done with simple tools, a manual, and good ol' YouTube if you have any mechanical aptitude at all. ALL cars will need maintenance and repair. If you CHOOSE to pay a dealership $2,000 for a repair that you could do yourself in a couple of hours for $100 in parts, that's on you. I just bought a 2 owner, local 2014 C250 with 94k (from a private owner, not some sketchy dealer car that was bought in California, then auctioned in NewYork, and is now in Florida),and I fully expect it to last another 100k miles with no major problems.
