When I apply my brakes to slow down to stop o ride over a bumpy area I hear a rapping sound

Asked by GuruV2SQ1 Sep 10, 2018 at 04:26 PM about the 2013 Hyundai Sonata

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This rapping sound is in the front end. I had new brake pads and rotors installed
prior to this occurring and have had it back to dealer(installer) since then after
2000 miles. They lubicated the pads and said it is not unusual. Now its
happning again. What could it be?

1 Answer

I failed to mention that the rotors were re-surfaced. They were not replaced as originally stated.
