Hyundai 2013 parking brake won't lock into place. The e-brake still functions but don't stay in lock position

Went to have my vehicle inspected and they found that my parking brake will
not lock into place. I very rarely use it so I hadn't noticed this problem but now
I'm in a bit of bind since my inspection is out and I need this fixed to complete
the inspection. Any one have any advice?

Charlie if you mean you can hold it up and e brake work,s,it will be the lock pin at the e brake that is your issue.
