Ford keys lost programming

Asked by GuruCDS1B Feb 03, 2019 at 09:17 AM about the 2012 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The dealership says both keys (they were both factory keys) became
defective. I had to buy two new keys and have them reprogrammed.  They
could offer no explanation as to why this happened. The keys were kept in
separate places.  Thanks and any ideas?
