Your pcm has detected a slip in the transmission and is now in limp mode you will need a scanner to clear the code or disconnect the positive battery cable to reset the pcm but I recommend the scanner to find out which code it is some time s it will detect a slip and could be the torque converter which is cheaper than buy-in a transmission

Disconnected and reconnected after 20-25 mins and it's still blinking. I don't seem to experience and power failure until I shift. Then the rpms drop substantially.
