Radio not working

Asked by GuruXF8NQ Nov 19, 2018 at 01:56 PM about the 2012 Kia Optima

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My battery died. I had it recharged and now the radio isn't working.  Any ideas?

Having disconnected the battery interrupts the current flow to the radio like it was stolen. As a theft deterrent feature, a four digit code has to be entered into the radio to activate it. Check your owner's manual for how that is done. There should also be a card that lists this passcode. If not, the dealer can help for a fee. Sometimes the code will be #0000 if no owner before you entered a code.
