radio, backup, navigation doesn't come on 2011 prius

I bought this 2011 Prius used yesterday, with 25000 miles on it. Everything else works
on the car but the radio navigation backup camera won't come on. The screen says
there is no navi disk in it but that shouldn't have anything to do with the radio or
backup camera. The only button that works is the one that opens the dvd panel. I took
it to the dealer who said (after some inspection) that it was the unit probably, I
checked the related fuses, all good. Any other possibilities before I pull out the unit?

get one from the recycle yard. If that doesn't work take the radio back. I have had good luck with used factory radios from scrape yard.

Were you able to fix it? I want to buy a 2010 Toyota Prius that has the same issue, but I’m scared to take the risk. The car says “ no dvd, insert map dvd”. The stereo system won’t work. I’m thinking, maybe I should buy a map dvd. If that will make the navigation system work I don’t know. Please what do you think? Any answer is greatly appreciated.
