How can I bypass security so vehicle remains running after removing ignition?

2010 chevy hhr stolen. When found no keys.
Got key code from dealer. Locksmith using
code key won't work. Dealer making key
using code key still won't work. Removed
ignition. Car will crank but die instantly
because of security shutdown.

Drop the vehicle off at your local Chevrolet Dealer for repairs and let your insurance company pay for it. Hope that helps! Jim

Try holding your original key close to the ignition switch, I believe these are chipped. If it stays running put the original key on the key ring. (You will need it for the doors anyway) As long as the original is close to the ignition switch, the vehicle will run even with the other key in the ignition.
