Winter driving

I have a 98 Z28 with a few mods, and as long as I have my winter tires with studs in them I almost never lose traction unless I try. Just like any other car, handles and drives perfect unless you get stupid with it

I have a 07 Solstice GXP that I drive all year round in ohio. It's rear wheal drive and has the same stabilitrak and traction control as the new Camaro. I agree that snow tires make a huge difference and would highly recommend them. I have Michelin Alpin's on my car in the winter. With sensible driving traction is actually very good. the only issue is if you hit an area of very high snow you're going to hit the bottom and lower front of the car. You also have to be careful not to get stuck. However I've driven the solstice through 2 winters on a 40 mile commute everyday and haven't damaged the car or gotten stuck yet.
