Engine turns over but car won't start

Question type: General

Could the car turn over but not start because
of a faulty distributer cap & or bad
carbonator...If so where r they? Please &

No, it wouldn't be the cap. If it was it may turn and run, but run roughly like it's misfiring. If it doesn't run at all, but just cranks when u turn the engine with fire it could be the coil, but I would think it's most likely the fuel filter judging by the age of the car... hope this helps, if u have any skills and experience you could try (if you're brave enough) pull the fuel filter and blow through it to unclog it, but they are fairly cheap to replace Gl
