2009 tacoma starts, then stalls. will start after waiting 25-30 minutes. may run fine for 2-3 months then same thing happens

Some say that the key coding will cause this issue. Might want to try a different key next time it happens. From what I read this is a problem a lot of Tacoma owners have. Also did you install remote start? If so it could be causing an issue with the immoblizer. Check out this site for more info----http://www.tacomaworld.com
