I have a 2001 Honda Passport. The reduced power light came on,what caused this to happened?

Check the alternator belt...a reduced voltage means the alternator is not putting the necessary 14.5 volts out there~...I'd check the system ground (aka the 1/0 ground cable that connects to the chassis) to make sure it has good Amperage potential and NOT fuzzy ground...probably the system just cannot find a good ground is fuzzy and full of corrosion, coarse wirebrush to be able to pull the full grounding potential...should be 300 cca minimum~
