Just did this on my 05 lx and it was a breeze. The front cover surrounding the stereo clicks off with a regular screwdriver and a little pressure. If your new stereo is the standard size(not the double) you don't need a dash kit just a wiring harness. I installed a Claion cz200 and am happy so far.
