Asked by Robert Apr 07, 2016 at 06:05 PM about the 1998 Ford Explorer

Question type: Car Customization

I HAVE A 1998 FORD EXPLORER 2ND GENERATION AND IT HAS THE
TORSION SUSPENSION. I WAS TOLD THE THE FORD RANGER EDGE
SUSPENSION IS THE SAME

Could be. However the Ranger began to update it's suspension in 1998 through 2000 to a short/long arm configuration. If you are contemplating using donor parts from one vehicle to another, there is an easy check. Go to any web site like Autozone and look up the part for the two vehicles. If the part number is the same then they are interchangeable.
