How can i get my 1998 Ford expedition to disengage out of four wheel drive low when stuck in

Driving back and forth slowly in a straight line can do it sometimes. If you drove it on dry roads with it in 4wd it can be hard to disengage.

I should ask if you truck has a stick shift for 4wd or the electrical control. If nothing else works you may have to replace the actuator on the transfer case.
