My 2009 Oz won't start has brand new battirie clean conections it don't grind to start it clicks once

My car won't start I tried to start it it clicked once and that was it I tried again it clicked one more time I have a brand new battirie ran good for about 1 week and now this all conections to the batt. are clean and been cleaned with sand paper still nothing whats going on do you know? Thanks Bonnie

When it did start did it turn over hard? If so I would say your starter is bad

sounds like your starter will need replaced take it off and take it into autozone and have them test it before you buy a new one
