how does the thermostat go in the truck

Very carefully! ;D The thermostat in the 1996 Dakota is located in front of the engine. Follow the top radator hose to the thermostat. Remove the hose, the two bolts, then the current thermostat. Make sure everything is very clean. Then put the new thermostat in, replace the bolts, and replace the hose. CarGrrl

it looks like on my truck I am going to have to remove the bracket that holds the alt, & a/c comp. to get to the therostat housing am I richt on this?
