Caravan shut down

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have a 2000 dodge caravan. It died today just shut itself down. Had to tow it
to shop. They hook a scanner to it and it runs. Any ideas. Remove scanner
and it shuts down.

Does the scanner show any codes? Usually if a sensor triggers an engine shutdown you'll see a code or two.

They didn’t mention any codes. There thinking it’s some kind of ground since it runs with scanner hooked up.
