Fly wheel

Asked by GuruXJP28 Nov 28, 2018 at 05:49 PM about the 2001 Ford Ranger

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My husband had fly wheel, cluich, pressure
plate and all replaced. Now he has trouble
changing gears 1st to second sometimes
,second to 3rd sometimes going back to 1st
after stopping. They say it was a relay. That
the fly wheel is not slowing down so it can
change gears. Could this be true, if so what
is the relay  called. Where is it located.
