can i replace the clutch hose with a solid brake line?

have to replace the slave cylinder and need to know if i can replace the clutch hose $83.00 with just a brake line and what size would i need if i can?

Not a great idea. It will work, but the constant virbation and movement of the transmission will stress the thin brake line and it will eventually crack. There has to be a flexible line somewhere between the slave and master. Just a few inches of braided hose will do.
