Why wont my car start after not being ran for a month.

Asked by Marie Dec 16, 2013 at 01:03 PM about the 2009 Hyundai Sonata

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2009 Hyundai Sonata will not start after not started for a month. It ran fine when I parked it. The lights inside come on. We even tried to jump start it. What will do this. If the battery is dead wouldn't the interior lights not come on?

a month ain't that long....your mistake was trying to jump start it....you got it wrong....now you'll have to replace the MEGA fuse and the fuseable link~uuuuugh, some people's kids, I tell ya~

Why would jump starting burn out the Fusible link and / or blow the MEGA Fuse??? Never had heard or seen that occur? Just curious. Thanks, Ted
