Fuel pump removal

How do I get my pump out from the tank ? I’ve
removed the rubber ring and the pump is the same
size as the whole. How’s it come out ? I’ve tried for
hrs. One side is like a milameter too short.

I'm having same issue right now in an 02 cadillac deville its like the same size as hole and I'm having issues gettimg it out i dont wamt to pull to hard and splash fuel or break off a chunk in the tank
