My Mitsubishi Pajero will becomes automtically neutral while driving on drive
mode. I have to shift the gear lever from drive to neutral and again to drive and
then it moves

You best check the switch itself, may be best to seek transmission knowledgeable mechanic, not sure if internal or external switch on this vehicle. Hope this helps ya out.
