I put ant-freeze in the wrong compartment of my F-150, and now I don't have heat

My guess would be the power steering reservoir or the windshield washer reservoir. I certainly hope it wasn't the engine crankcase or the brake fluid reservoir. OR THE TRANSMISSION!

It was not the power steering reservoir, the windshield washer transmission, or crankcase, brake fluid reservoir. the line I put the fluid in is next to the transmission reservoir, it has a silver casing on the hose and a tiny cap cover where you would put the fluid. The cap on the hose is small and looks like the same cap that the freeon would go in. I stated anti-freeze in the question when asked, sorry! it was freeon that was put in the line. I was looking for the reservoir for the air conditioner to put the freeon in the summer

If you put the right type of Freon in your AC system then hopefully you did no harm. If it is the wrong type then take it to a air conditioning shop and have then evacuate the system and re-charge it with the correct type. If you put too much of the correct type they should remove enough for the system to operate properly.

Debra, thanks I stand corrected. In my opinion any A/C work should be done by a professional. If you have to add refrigerant you have a leak and the leak needs to repaired.

The amount of freon you have won't effect your heater. The charge line for your ac only fits on the low side port for your ac system. Freon (refridgerent) is a gas, not a fluid. With that said I'm not sure what you added.

If the vehicle's heater did not work, then the absence of Freon in the system would not cause a lack of heat issue, as freon is only used to cool.
