However, the interior was well-constructed, with high-quality materials and a focus on durability, making it suitable for families.

In contrast, the 2022 Chevrolet Suburban embraced a more contemporary design language, sharing its styling with the Tahoe SUV and Silverado 1500 pickup. The Suburban's tall hood, long proportions, and large wheels gave it a commanding presence. Available in six trims, the Suburban offered customization options, with our RST test vehicle featuring a striking Cherry Red Tintcoat exterior and 22-inch wheels. Inside, the Suburban provided a spacious cabin with varying levels of luxury, from the base LS to the plush High Country. The RST trim boasted Jet Black perforated leather seats with Victory Red stitching, although the predominantly black interior felt somewhat dark. The Suburban's design was both sporty and practical, appealing to those seeking a modern full-size SUV.

The 2022 Toyota Sequoia was powered by a single engine option, the 5.7-litre i-Force V8, producing 381 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque. This engine was paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, offering durability and reliability. The Sequoia's truck roots contributed to its impressive payload capacity of up to 608 kilograms and a towing capacity of 3,221 kilograms. Despite its weight of around 2,721.5 kilograms, the Sequoia delivered a smooth and stable ride, with excellent off-road capabilities thanks to its body-on-frame construction and four-wheel independent double-wishbone suspension. However, its fuel consumption ratings were less impressive, with 18.5 litres per 100 kilometres in the city and 13.9 on the highway.
