What owners say
"Overall, owners appreciate the Ford Ranger for its power and utility, making it a reliable choice for both everyday driving and off-roading adventures. Many drivers love its appearance and the smooth driving experience, especially in 4x4 variants. However, some owners feel it lacks acceleration and is a bit small, which might not suit everyone’s needs."
This truck would be lucky to pass a safety. The floors in it are literally separating from the inner rocker panels, they tried covering up the rust with colour match bed liner on the rocker panels and painted the frame which appears to also be in terrible condition. There are rust holes in the radiator support. The bed is clearly a replacement since it is the best part of the truck and appears to be from the southern states. Not worth half what they are asking. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
July 31, 2025This truck was in very good mechanical condition. The interior is well cared for and the front of the vehicle looks great. The antenna is broken, but the radio works. The AC is working. There are a number of dings and minor scratches on the sides of the rear and back of the truck bed on the outside. These can be taken care of by minor body work. The truck drives great and the clutch and transmission work flawlessly. The engine is responsive and runs smoothly. No complaints whatsoever about the engine, transmission and drivability. Under the hood the engine looks great and is clean. No noticeable issues and no oil leaks noted. Overall this is a good reliable vehicle and potentially has a lot of life left, and represents value to those interested in this type of vehicle.
February 20, 2023The Ranger is extremely well built and has an amazing appearance. The brakes are great and acceleration is usually fine. It gets decent gas mileage too. The only negative is that you can feel the truck starting to roll on tight turns so you've got to take them slow.

September 9, 2009Nicest vehicle I have ever had. traded in my 2006 Altima and have no regrets!! Smooth acceleration, lots of power, you sit nice and high up so easier to see the road and feels solid. One of the nicest trucks I have seen on the road.
May 25, 2009i own the bare bones ford ranger, the only option ordered was cloth seats over vinyl ones. surprisingly the 2.3 liter engine has sufficient power for day to day driving. it also gets pretty good gas mileage considering its a pickup. its still useful on the cargo front aslong as you dont start trying to tow heavy trailers. anything more than utility and youll feel it. other than that, its comfortable, good mileage, no problems braking, handles like a pickup but is still firm.
April 22, 2012I liked the sporty look of the hood and fender flairs. The color is very pleasing as well as the interior color. The Rally Gauge Cluster gave interior a sporty look as well and was surprised that it rides pretty nice for being a small pick-up.
January 7, 2013Love my truck! worth the price 100%. It drives smooth and sounds good.
January 5, 2024We like the single cab, the manual transmission and the 4 wheel drive. We need to flat tow our Ranger. A hitch already installed would be great!
July 8, 2023Power dome hood looks great in black. 4ad is easy to operate and works great. Good hauling capacity and a reliable truck. It's my 3rd and I had 210,000 miles on the last one and it still looked great ( no rust) and ran very well too
February 13, 2015Ford Ranger , great small utility vehicle . Miles per gallon on 4 cylinder and 2 wheel drive is plenty for small work as well as small business needs. Shame that Ford has decided to end manufacturing of long running reliable utility work truck .
