Overall very impressed with the power and handling capabilities compared to cost of ownership from this small chevy! Not to mention the endless tunes and add ons you can buy to match your style and customize your SS. Would buy all over again

very awesome straight out of the factory. performance brakes and very good handling, always felt safe in this car. I bought this car without even test driving and fell in love on my first drive! have tried my best to keep this car in excellent condition!

Looks good, handles great, insane mileage with good power to go with, all for $12,000 pretty good buy. Wish cruise control was standard. Also has crappy seats. No lower back support but it saves me money so who cares. I would buy again.

The SS Turbocharged Cobalt if a very quick car with amazing handling.Interior and exterior is very stylish. Build quality slightly poor few repairs under warranty, MPG is between 20-27 on good days. Super fun car to drive. If you are looking for a fun sporty good looking car this is what you want.

I've had this car for almost 3 years and not a day passes me by that i dont get a "hey, nice car!" or "what is that, how much did it cost?" and my answer always shocks them. as this car is ver inexpensive, it a steal to anyone who owns one. to fix it costs nothing and it doesnt break down as often like foreign cars, but will still smoke them off the line. SS super sport. the name says it all

Everything works like it's supposed to, it runs well and accelerates pretty quickly. I like how it looks, it kind of brought me into the "adult" world of owning and taking car of a car as opposed to a breaking down Olds. It can drive cross-country with nothing wrong, but at times the road noise was loud.

its the best front wheel drive car in it class. it has 260 horsepower, and goes from 0-60 in 5.5 seconds. the handling is amazing and brakes great. when its cold the front suspension squeaks. the car costed me 32 000 dollars in total. it gets 45L/ 100kl. i have to fill it up with premium. The car is amazing to drive and has alot of power for a cobalt.

If GM were BMW, this would be the car they would tout. The last few C gen Corvettes are useless unless ona race track.The Cobalt SS however offers real driving fun at legal, and above, speed. VW or BMW would have made this a three door like the VW GTI, the roof straight back to a vertical rear hatch,that would allow access to the rear fold down seats and give decent rear visibility. The engine is a delight, 260 ft/lb from 2000 rpm. It weighs about 3100 pounds so 0-60 in six seconds. When Mary Barra said no more crappy cars, this is what she should have had in mind, Honda is asking 50K+ for a civic like this, GM once again shot itself in the foot discontinuing perhaps their best car ever, did I mention front Brembo brakes, and rear discs? And 225/45 x 18 tires?

performance this car performs very well, the steering can feel a little wierd if your not used to electronic steering. acceleration is nice but you dont feel the punch like in some cars... build quality some people say that the rear brakes give them probs and the rear rotors rust... appearance looks awsome! as far as appearance goes it keeps up w the higher end cars! cost of ownership with the great gas mileage you should get your moneys worth out of this car! well as long as your not a hard driver it should get good gas mileage... fun factor i bought a 5 speed and its so fun to drive! all depends on what u like!

I love the way t h e c a r looks. and the sounds it makes is great, my favorite is the no lift shift and nothing compares to how sick it is. I would recommened this car to anyone whos willing to compromise interior appepearance for performance you get for the price. graet avlue

would make for a good rice burner, drives really smooth, a little underpowered , no power windows in the 1 i drove, and its fun to drive tho, and then the brakes could have been better, i dont know about cost of ownership,,but gives good mpg's

Performance- Great pickup. The LT is a 2.2L 155 HP, squealed the tires every shift and i wasnt even close to redline. Build Quality- Havent had it very long so i cant really answer this. Appearance- Eh, aint too shabby when it comes to exterior. not a big fan of the bodyside moldin but i'm kind of used to it cuz of my cavalier. Interior is really nice, i got the sport bucket leather so its like a dream. Cost of ownership- extremely cheap. Yea, i added a few unnecessary packages like the sunroof and that kinda thing but i got it for $15,615 after taxes, tags and all that. Gas mileage? I think its better than my cavalier. The cobalt is 25/37 i believe. Mostly cuz its the XFE version. 5 speed to add the most. Fun factor- Come on, its a 5 spd with great pickup. Of course its fun to drive lol. I would like to take the SS Turbo out for a drive tho. Highly reccommended

The engine is one of the best I've ever had. Throws you back in the seat HARD. Handles wonderfully, glad I got the LSD or it would roast the outside tire on any turn. It's been reliable, but I've never had to get so much warranty work done ever--recall for power steering, interior trim installed crooked on dash, l windshield washer jet installed crooked from factory, rear brakes squeel incessantly even after having the rotors turned at 12k miles. I average 25 mpg, but averaged 32 on a long road trip. Love the looks w/ the spoiler and the SS factory body kit. Too bad people have a stigma about it being a Cobalt. One of the best performance bargains of all time.

Love it. Great power for a four cylinder. Brakes a little weak in factory trim but only need a good set of pads and rotors to be great. Would have liked to see and independent rear suspension but handles well. Looks damn sexy outside could have used a little help inside. Gas mileage is excellent, maintenance is pretty cheap and i use synthetic oil. Extremely fun to drive with a manual trans.

The Cobalt is an Amazing Car and great on gas!

Its a cozy little sedan, great on gas mileage, and has been reliable to us.

stock this car suprised me. it has much more than i thought it would. with the K&N intake i installed it added some power and and made the car sound fantastic. it added about 8 HP and 10 ft lbs of torque. Build quality is very good nothing has broken or malfunctioned. I keep it well maintained so there is really no reason for anything to break down. The exterior i feel is good looking for the price of the car. it has a sleek design and the spoiler gives it a sporty feel. The window tints and halo headlights add some good characteristics to it that make it stand out from the rest. Its fun to drive whether your going the speed limit or really opening it up on a straight. the car leans alot around corners for a coupe but for stock suspension its not terrible.

the cobalt ss is a great car. even stock. the biggest issue is the stock brakes are terrible. i replaced them with hawk pads and r1 concept rotors and steel brake lines. Shifting is as good as it gets rivaling a acura integra. The dealer messed up the gms1 tune by installing the wrong o-rings on the Tmap sensors which made the car run poorly. All in all a great car with tons of features like the RPD which is a blast to use due to the multifunction capability. only bad thing is cheap build quality with plastic everywhere.

the car has exealnt performance. It feels good to dive. I have the 2.0 module and it still feels powerfull for a 4 cylinder. The first week I had it I took it on a curvey mountin road very fast, even though the tires broke lose a few times it handled great. This is a awsome car to own.

Much quicker than I expected.. Took a 06 gt mustang in the quarter mile.. It was a breeze.. Also took a 300c hemi.. Easy peeezy.. Ha ha.. Handles really well too.. I love it... Fastest 4 cylinder front wheel drive car ever to make it around the Nurburgring track in Germany.. 8 minutes 22 seconds..

Its A Great Car. I Advise Any New College Student Try 1. I Enjoy Driving It Even Though There Are Some Downfalls Toward It, Its Still Wonderful. It Has Great Pick Up & Its A Cool Car 2 Drive. Have Fun.!!

I am used to big muscle cars and rwd cars, so down sizing to this was a tad bit awkward for me. but wow was I blown away when I drove this car. it had the GM Stage one kit on it when I bought and wow does that really wake up that little 2.0 turbo engine. a couple other simple mods and you are quickly over 300 hp in them. and for only being like 2900 lbs makes it alot more fun.

good car overall. naturally the 2 Lexus's that my parents own are so much better. however i love my car. the car is fast and sports. It is so much fun 2 drive! i got the vehicle remote start add-on. so whenever its 2 hot or cold i turn on my car with that and let the ac/heat do its thing. its really good on gas 2. i am averaging about 26-27 mpg overall. full tank gets me allmost 400 miles.

The car is very quick, but when u drive it it still just feels like an economy car. I didn't feel as much of adrenaline rush cuz you just don't feel like ur part of the car as much as others i've driven. But the "no lift shift" technology is really fun.

Low price compare to others , a little less power than hoped for but I like the size of the car, like the 16`` aluminium rims. Finely a cd player nice sound too. Too new to say more at this time will update later. First bought new car, I did lease some new vehicles before.

I am a sedan person but could not afford a brand new large car, so the Cobalt was in my price range. I do dislike how small the back seat is but I don't have a lot of passengers and went into the purchase fully knowing that I was getting a COMPACT car. One thing I do not understand is how Chevrolet could design the vehicle with lots of trunk space but a small opening. I cannot get a large plastic tub into my car because of the trunk opening, I have the space inside the trunk but no way to get in there through the trunk. I have to go through the split backseat.
