My 4-dr Cobalt SS has over 110,000 miles and still runs like new. I've only done basic maintenance (tires, brakes, belts, and spark plugs at 103,000). It handles great here in the U.S. Rocky Mountains! For the price, its fun to drive. At 65 mph, I get roughly 37 mpg. The Pioneer Sound system is great too!
September 11, 2009The car is base LT four-door model. Bought the car nearly brand-new with less than 100 miles on it. Never have had to fix a thing on it yet, and it's got nearly 27,000 miles on it now. It's reliable, but it's only been two years. However, the car is one of the lowest costing cars GM offers, and the interior shows this. It's rated at one of the "healthiest" looking interiors, but it's very blah (my interior is the tan with silver accents). The car is a little small for four passengers to be seated in there for some time. Surprisingly, the available trunk space is quite large. Performance wise, it only has 140 some horsepower, so it's not the fastest car on the block. The handling is around the same level, along with the braking. The ride is decent. I do not have ABS, and have gotten into a couple of scary situations because of it. ABS is nice to have, but you still can avoid accidents without it. I was wary of driving the car during the winter with snow/ice for braking concerns, but at the end of the winter I preferred driving my car over friend's cars. The reason for this is because alot of the road can be felt through the stearing wheel. I knew exactly when my wheels would start spinning, and could easily adjust steering to counteract any slipping. I do get decent gas mileage. During the summer, my in-town driving gets around 26-28mpg, and highway can be as high as 36mpg. In-town mpg suffers during the winter and drops down to 23 mpg.
March 16, 2008I've had this car for over a year now, and i love it. It is a great solid car. My wife and I both enjoy this car and take it on many road trips around Washington. I've added a intake and we still get around 33.4 mpg which isn't bad...

January 7, 2008Good pickup power for getting on the highway. Cargo space is surprisingly big. Two full size luggage bags and at least one carry on bag can fit in the trunk. Fuel economy is great for commuting. The design has proven to still look good through time.
March 27, 2015This two door coup has excellent acceleration, a smooth clutch and shifter combo, its easy to see out of, fuel efficient, practical, easy to work on, and overall, its inexpensive!! I have driven a Cobalt for over 5 years and it is easily one of the best vehicles, all things considered, on the road!
January 22, 2015Decent acceleration and handling. Perfect braking. Has not really needed any repairs. The fan squeaks a little but I plan on having that looked at soon. Looks great! Great gas mileage and low maintenance, mostly just oil changes. Very fun to drive!
November 2, 2013its a great car for the college kid or the adult looking to save on gas. the back seat doesnt have much room so if the person in the front is tall then you might have a problem. has a pretty good sized trunk space. car has been dependable since i bought it. drives like a dream.
November 11, 2011This car is.... amazing!! Best bang for the buck at the time. 2.0L I-4, Eaton Roots-type supercharger. Quaife LSD, fwd. About 2990 lbs., this thing can move. So far I have only done an Injen CAI and GMP cat0back. This car handles like a dream, very stable and smooth. I can get about 30 mpg city (if my foot is a feather).
October 31, 2008The best thing about my car is the way it looks i like how its low to the ground and looks like its cutting into the wind. The next best thing is the acceleration and handling its amazing i feel like im driving a race car its pretty sweet. I also really like the interior of the vehicle the stereo looks futuristic and the seats are really comfortable.
August 10, 2008This is my first brand new car. Overall I love it, for a 4 cylinder it has a lot of pep and is pretty responsive. It gets great gas mileage. It has probably the best turning radius I have ever seen in a car...it turns on a dime. It is very fun to drive and is a decent ride for long highway trips. It is a beautiful looking car, I love the body lines and the lights. Plus the color is absolutely gorgeous. I used to love the stock speakers although now the car has some miles on it and things rattle when the bass hits. Chevy could have done a lot more with it looks wise and interior wise. The cloth seats are really ugly and look dirty when they are not. There is a lot of road noise due to bad insulation. I've had a few problems with noisy rear insulators and my door leaking but the dealership fixed it all when it was under warranty. Overall the car has quite a few con's about it but definitely more good going for it, its cheap, fuel efficient, and good looking...what more do you want? lol
