This truck has most features you need! Great looks & styling, chromed steel wheels, spray on bed liner, V8 4.3L engine, XM radio, OnStar, and a top of the line sound system. The truck is comfortable for commuting to work, hauling a load, pulling a trailer, or taking you hunting or fishing. This truck is so reliable that the only things we've done are the standard maintenance items: oil changes, tire rotations, weekly washings, regular waxings, and cleaning out the interior on a regular basis.
December 17, 2011I was told my truck had stabilitrak by the dealer now I am not sure.

February 26, 2021I love the truck, perfect for work, wish I would have gotten the v8 over the 4.3 v6. The gas mileage is not as good as I would expect for a 6 cylinder. Some small issues plagued the truck but was able to finally get them all fixed prior to the warranty going out.
March 24, 2015I have had all types of trucks.........Ford, Dodge, Chevy and GM. This Chevy has a great engine and good towing capacity. Mine has the towing package and the towing mode setting on the transmission that gets a lot of use. I think it sets the shift points higher. I have the long bed.........my opinion is that if youre going to buy a truck, get the whole truck. I have never been a fan of short beds because we use our truck like a truck not a car. I am not brand loyal - I buy the best deal I can find. They all do well if you take care of them. Yes, even Dodge has come a long way in the past 10 years. The Silverado is probably the simplest to work on (most mechanics will agree). This also reduces ownership costs. The only thing I have against GM / Chevy is I still have a strong resentment of them taking the bailout money from Obama.
June 16, 2013Trucks fully loaded vary solid heavy truck smooth ride great truck for winter driving great fuel economy. Great truck comparing to my old 2003 ford F150 4x4 to light for winter driving.
September 3, 2022Excellent towing, reliable, decent fuel economy, lots of power, comfortable ride and lots of room, bed could be a little bigger and the transmission could use one more gear as it shifts up and down a lot goin up hills
March 17, 2010Amazing Truck. Handles great. Good Turning radius for a big truck. The inside is like a luxury vehicle and it looks awesome. The new Chevrolet style vehicle is really once of the best out there in my mind. Only down turn is the gas is rated at 14mpg
August 29, 2009I have a 2008 chevy wt with the ls package. Overall I like the look of the truck, the interior is a little cramped in the back. The old 4.3 l v6 is terrible on gas and performance, I wich I would have gotten the v8. I have also had to have it into the dealership 3 times for brake problems. Next truck, will be the v8 4x4 or a new tundra. The new tundra is nice.
