What owners say
"Overall, owners of the 2006 Pontiac Vibe are very satisfied with their vehicle, praising its reliability, fuel economy, and spacious cargo area. Many appreciate its solid build and comfortable interior for both daily driving and long trips. However, some have noted issues such as oil leaks and uncomfortable driver seats, along with minor complaints about braking noise."
Toyota quality, fuel economy and cargo room make the Vibe a great value
May 16, 2024This auto has been trustworthy; front seats are comfortable for long road trips; lots of cargo room when rear seats are folded down. Engine and Transmission are above par, and the surrounding exterior plastic acts as a salt and road grime bumper to prevent rust; there are also plastic plates in behind the rotors that act to prevent dust and salt these are nice features for Northern Climates.
October 26, 2013Although I had a 2003 Pontiac Vibe, it was , by far, one of the most reliable cars that I have ever owned (I am in my 60s). After driving it for 3 years, I finally sold my car - it has 289,000 miles on it. If he engine light hadnt come on (and be too expensive for my budget), I would still be driving it . I loved the body style and fold down rear seats - allowing for a huge amout of space to pack/store items. I am now out looking for the same or similar model!!!

May 11, 2020Good value for your money if you can tolerate oil leak. It has a solid feel on the road with good feedback. A/C is mild with replacement compressor. Transmission has been solid. I now have Continental Pro Contact EcoPlus tires on front. It runs consistently 26-27 mpg mixed driving. This would be a good young driver car.
May 5, 2012I love the way the car handles; the height of the car is perfect for me, I am 5'2". However when I back up the brakes squeal. The dealer says it is normal for this car. I cannot stand it and have complained numerous times to corp. customer services. I am about to try to write to the pres. of Gm. Any suggestions? Otherwise I love driving my vibe.
September 29, 2009This was a great car. Drove nice. Felt solid. I would get another.
November 30, 2020Toyota made the Pontiac Vibe, and as such it’s one of the most sought after cars since the start of all this world ending crap! They never die, and will run forever!
