The H3 Hummer is a pretty cool car. Is it for everyone? No! But, there are very few vehicles out there that you can purchase at a fair price used that have the following features. AWD 4-Low 4-High 5 or 8 Cylinder Rear Locker Front Locker 4:1 Transfer Case and...Look pretty tough. The H3 is not a sports car. Its bumpy, it rattles, mine is Slow! But fun to drive. Im excited. Things to know if you are looking at H3s. First year is 2006. The I5 motor in early 2006 had head issues. Look it up. Find the serial number and look for newer 2006 models. Motors 2006 3.5 - Slow upgrade to 2007 if you can for the 3.7 2007 and up 3.7 ALPHA! V8! Packages - Base, Luxury, Adventure, Off Road Base, not a lot of creature comforts just a nice white truck not frills. Luxury - Base + leather and a few other options. Adventure - Rear Locker, 4:1 Transfer Case, Cast iron difs (some years) Off Road - Rear Locker, 4:1 Transfer Case, Front Locker, Cast Iron Diffs and.. You can get it in a APHA V8. I bought a 2006 base model. Yea, nothing special. It may blow up on me and not exactly what I wanted but.. Its fun and I may someday upgrade to the ALPHA Off Road if I find one and my wife lets me. Some my tell me Im crazy and I just might be. Yea Im sure a 4-runner, Jeep or Land Cruiser are better but hey each to their own. Cheers! Feb 04, 2023

I like the design and driving perspective. Easier to maneuver than I expected. Sorry it came out before navigation and back up cameras, but I will be adding both. Still new too me, so lets put some miles on and see how it goes!Nov 20, 2021

Hello I am also a new owner of a 2007 h3 and I have read many post on here maybe I can help with my experience on this issue.i noticed so many are worried about the will sensor.oil pump . Well I was having the same light come on over and over and what I did is first.one persons thread stated he noticed the engine would rev down and oil light would pop up.so he pulled off the m.a.p flow sensor out and cleaned with a spray solvent..then he pulled off the throttle and cleaned it as well..took me thirty minutes too on that.. then had oil change done 5/30 synthetic put in with new filter.last thing I noticed (very important!)the ac was not working like it should..so I shut ac off and light stayed off???when I checked ac pressure I noticed it was over charged and pullng too power causing engine to bogg down. I fixed ac charge to run as it should..and low and behold no more light...all is good now..so look out for other issues that may cause engine to lower engines below specs...hope it helps ya outSep 07, 2021

Full recomended vehicle, off road suspention make ride really soft, abs brake system and air bags security system are very good. Audio system is really amazing with 5 cd changer and radio make any trip a good memory, towing package included, cruise control adjustable feature, Halogen front lights and fog lights are excelent.Jul 23, 2014

Love everything about this vehicle. If I had to find a negative about it, it would be not having a place to sit phone, smokes, etc. and have easy access to while driving. Best SUV I have ever owned! Plan to keep this SUV forever!Apr 19, 2014

Sexy and tough truck. Serves many uses, we've used it for camping, moving heavy items, transporting kids, long family drives and EVEN PROM!! Yep, this was the truck they all wanted to drive! My husband even took a group of friends for a bachelor party and they were all stoked that they were taking the Hummer :) Jun 04, 2012

This car was built very well. I never had a problem with bad roads. I always felt safe in this car. I loved having the extra storage space in the back of the car. I almost didn't sell because you can't buy this make and model anymore. Feb 21, 2012

This is a great truck! My wife and I live in the mountains in West Texas. We see some muddy, snowy and icy conditions on the ranch roads. This truck has no problem with any of that! Plenty of room for people and cargo. Feels very safe and comfortable while you are driving it. Has a real mean look and stance on the road also!!Jan 29, 2012

I like the roominess without feeling like I'm in a bus. Feel respect on the road. Handling is terrific. Interior (leather) is quality. Exterior...I purchase AUTOBUTLER which my H3 always looking phenominal! Again, wish the rear window would drop and back seat completely lay flat but other than that, this H3 has been a super vehicle.Dec 07, 2011

acceleration is awesome in 3 and 4th gear appearance is a little blocky on the outside but great on the inside maintenance is inexpensive and gas mileage sucks it is fun to drive and it really is a hummer cause it really does drive over most stuffNov 04, 2011

I spent my life driving A to B cars. this is sharp and reliable! - Amazing vehicles. Still in awe at how well it drives and the turning radius is amazing forits size. I like that it runs over everything. It snowed about a half a foot here in the spring and the streets were not plowed yet. I took the hummer out and it handled like a champ. I found myself looking for slushy snow piles to drive through. What I don't like is it has no real acceleration. Trying to pass someone on a hill is not possible unless that person is going 10 mph. This was the best car ever!!!!! It was fun to drive, always looked gorgeous, and fit a ton of people. This was the best car I have ever driven. This car did not have many problems, and was a gas guzzler. Although spending the extra money was well worth it for such a great vehicle.Nov 03, 2008

it is a great SUV but what it really needs is a 6.0 V8, because the 3.5 straight 5 engine is not enough power to play with... mileage is ok, I think it gets around 16MPG highway...on the inside its not really built for more then 5...It has a 4 inch lift kit on it with 35 inch tires with 20 inch rims...that has really cut back on a lot of its functions...like speed and acceleration...Aug 07, 2008

Had the H3 for over 2 years, and haven't had ONE single problem with it. A pleasure to drive long distances, and I can take all my gear with me. Mileage is acceptable too, getting 16 on the road. And it's just plain cool-looking. Love it.Feb 03, 2008
