Just had to say goodbye to my trailblazer after 15 years. Was incredibly reliable until the end, then just got to be too much to keep fixing, though it still has lots of life left.
One problem I did have that never got resolved was the dashboard indicators got out of sync, and couldnt fix without taking the whole thing apart. Appeared to be a somewhat common problem, though that happened sometime around 2020.Aug 07, 2024

This is the only year I would buy. This year had the best motor. I would rather have a 2006 than a 2024. Mar 21, 2024

The car is well maintained and in great condition, but the asking price is triple the value due to maintenance and upkeep done to keep it that way. It would be great for someone who loves old trailblazers and has the money to spare.Oct 06, 2023

Nothing fancy just good basic things I’m sure other models have more features but I’m satisfied with this. Power where you want it i.e. windows seat and mirrors Apr 14, 2023

Fully boxed frame, 4WD with low range, rides good, Nearly 300hp, lots of room, they run forever, mileage is not horrible.Jan 12, 2023

I love the Trailblazer. And Chevy is great in my opinion. Great for winter driving with 4 WD, love the sunroof... Gas is typical for larger vehicle. But much larger tank than my Blazer. Very nice ride & comfortable. Aug 27, 2020

Well this vehicle has everything most luxury cars come with as well as a 390hp motor in the more compact blazer package. Truly fine American muscleMay 10, 2020

The Corvette motor in the SUV is a great idea. The power from acceleration is exciting, and the feel is even better because you typically only get this in a sports car that's much lower to the ground. It's a shame 2009 was the last year for Chevy's highpowered SUV.Dec 13, 2014

the fact that i had to replace the front wheel bearings with 57,000 miles on it did not impress me. i thought i should of gotten at least 100,000 miles out em. other then that i think it's been a great vehicle.Oct 03, 2014

I love my my trailblazer it is been very reliable and helpful through my college years I was able to use the vehicle to carry around friends, and my furniture for moving into my apartment. I could comfortably get up and down the road with no problems. We got the car when I was in college so I would have something safe to get to school. The gas mileage is not great, but the car has been very dependable.Aug 05, 2014

This truck has been very reliable. I just put a new battery in it about 2 months ago. And have the oil changed every 3 months. Other than that I haven't had to do anything to it. I take it camping when I go because of all the cargo space and with the seats flipped down it gives you a lot of extra space.Jul 10, 2014

I love my TBSS, the ride, the handling, the appearance... I have been happy with all of it. The gas mileage is not that great but not bad for V8 SUV that is as fast as it is. Always fun to pull up beside a car that does not know what it is and blow by it. I have gone thru a lot of cars and this one I have kept the longest and have been the happiest with. Apr 20, 2010

Sounds good, hauls very well, but needs the LS2 from the TBSS ;)
Pulls trailer very easily and its got just about 300HP. Need an exhaust, short ram intake and a throttle body spacer to make it have a little more punch.May 24, 2009

Handles great in the snow and muck. Most times you don't even need the 4x4. When you do it gets you unstuck in a hurry. Pretty good on gas but we should've ponied up a little more cash and gotten a Suburban. With a kid, a dog, all the crap it makes road trips really tight! Thank goodness for roof top carriesNov 14, 2008

best purchase ever. i got a steal on this truck. it only had 18K on it when i bought it used. Great buy would recommend to anyone who needs room and also the power that comes with the corvette motor. it has 400 hp and 400 lbs. of torque. this is one of the best suvs out on the market right now.Sep 16, 2008

Car has a lot of acceleration speed. There is an addition performance chip. If a new exhaust and air intake system is placed on the vehicle - it has great speed. The trailblazer is good on gas - I specifically use it for driving the hilly areas of Pennsylvania.
I would recommend this vehicle to anyone that wants style for an economic price.May 24, 2008

I've had this car just shy under a year and I love it. The only problem I've ever had with it was breaking an emergency break disk taking a corner on a gravel road to sharp. other than that, the vehicle handles excellently.May 05, 2008

Been looking at Trailblazers awhile. Finally found the one I like. Had everything I was looking for. Wish my commute was longer now. Enjoy it every minuteFeb 16, 2008

I bought a 2006 Trailblazer after 5 years with a Pathfinder, and I love it. It has great pickup, rides like a car (the Pathfinder was rough, like a truck) and has lots of room on the inside. I can fit three car seats in the back seat. My only complaint is it only comes in an automatic, and I prefer a stick... but few SUVs feature manual transmissions these days (only the Xterra and Sante Fe when I was car shopping). It handles great in the snow, and gets relatively good mileage for a car this size - about 23 on the highway, 18 around town. I also secretly love that it's classified as a truck.Aug 30, 2007
