This car needed 12K in repairs and the seller miss represented themselves and the vehicle asking $18500 stating the car is in excellent mechanical conditionOct 08, 2020

THe hype is long over. Not sure where these seller are thinking these cars will ever fetch over 20k with cars with 100 more HP for less and all of these cars modified to garbage at this point. Get the next generation car or M6 or anything else that wont draw the racer kid challenge from a stop light or on the highway at speed. THe honda crowd graduates to a Subaru then these cars , buy anything else and save you money and timeAug 27, 2020

SMG was ahead of it's time, but not fully perfected. This is a go kart and handles like it's glued to the tarmac. Not much more you can bolt on to this car other than a turbo or supercharger kit. There's plenty of power on tap without modifications.Feb 25, 2015

All-around great car. I love to drive it. Would highly recommend. The ultimate driving machine. I cannot wait to get another one of the E90 series. If you're considering getting one, I highly recommend taking the test drive it will put you over the edge for sureDec 28, 2014

SMG can make you look like a rookie driving a manual if you're not used to it. On the other hand, you can put cream and sugar in your coffee while driving much easer than a manual. Coupe feels more solid than the convertible.Nov 09, 2014

I love the handling of this car. I took it up to the blue ridge parkway a few months ago and was able to drive around 60 in 3rd on all but the sharpest turns. If you can find one that's a few years ago with less than 60K miles it is well worth the investment. Jul 09, 2012

everything you have ever heard, everything you have ever read, everything, i mean everything is TRUE!!!!! very hard to pick out a flaw. amazing to drive, beautiful to look at, stylish, sexy, seductive. such a pleasure to drive. power is beyond satisfying. handles beautifully, stick shift, clutch feel and steering all live in harmony with each other. yes its expensive, even for a used car but its worth every penny. power never falls flat, stability at any speed in confident inducing, and the red imola interior adds to the sexual drive experience lol. i am truly in love with this car.Feb 16, 2012

looks sexy, fast acceleration amazing build quality and most fun engaging car i have ever owned. the biggest downside about owning the car is definately the cost of maintenance of the car...it gets pricy when having to do the service intervals. Also it has to use a special type of synthetic oil that ONLY BMW dealerships have a hold of so they monopolize the price of that!Nov 02, 2011

This is one of the greatest cars in the world, 3.2 engine that produces 343 HP, the car is very comfortable, reliable and fast, I love driving it all the time. Quality is excellent; appearance is awesome for aggressive shape lovers and interior is very sexy for a racing car passionate. Cost? if you can afford it, just buy it. It is fun to drive the car on the roads all the time.Dec 24, 2009

Firstly, performance!! secondly, the Engine roar!! this car goes 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.5 seconds (manual), so love its accelaration!! but it has a poor body build!! even when you buy the car, you are not even aided with a radio, THATS CHEAP!! But to me, this car's a legend!!Sep 01, 2009

The good:
Where to start, this care doesn't stop to amaze me. I just
love it. An amazingly powerful engine that delivers more
than 100 hp per liter without the need of forced air
induction. The car is and feels very fast.
Brakes are amazing. These are the competition package
ones, so I don't know about the other versions.
The suspension is extremely well balanced for comfort and
sportiness. Again, this is the competition package which is
a bit harder than the regular one.
SMG transmission got some time to get used to but I love
it.But that love doesn't extend to other manufacturers'.
My Gallardo's eGear is not as good, in that one I would
prefer a regular manual transmission.
Looks: it is still a very elegant and modern look.
The bad:
It could lose some pounds.
The navigation system sucks.
The original mp3 player doesn't show the tracks names.
Bluetooth only works with some Motorola phones.Jul 12, 2009

What is there not to love about an M3? Amazing handling and excellent performance. It is a dream car and I love the fact that Dubai gives me the chance to run around in something like this. What's next - ferrari?Jun 14, 2009

performance 345 bhp 0 - 60 4.8sec i've had 182mph and its limited estimate 210mph de-limited
build quality only the best
appearance carbon black convertible grey leather, heated seats, full electric everything, climate control, sat nav built in, dvd players, smg tiptronic with 10 different gearbox and suspension settings and launch control (wow)
cost- ouch over a 1200 pound for 4 tyres 57,000 pound new, 21 to gallon best if drive it like it made of glass 700 pound a service but nothing ever goes wrong.
fun factor- becareful with the throtle it just sits and spins on the spot if ya floor it off the line without launch control. slippy and slidy great for drifting but watch the money burn from your tyres. tyre need changing every 10,000 miles at best driving normaly without the drifting.Jun 11, 2009

Amazing performance when needed, hit the throttle hard with maximum setting on the SMG and you have a beast at your feet - put it into auto level 2 and it becomes a sedate little kitten !
Don't use the launch control too often, it will give you heart problems !
Service costs can be high, but that is to be expected on a thoroughbred car like this.
Absolute fun to drive.May 29, 2009

The E46. What else needs to be said. Destined to be at classic car shows for the next decades... Well, after the kids stop screwing around with them... A terrific car. But maintenance is a bit costly. For sure. Enjoy!May 19, 2009

I love this car! It's one of the best handling in-line 6 cars in the world ... I love how I feel driving it and how others feel riding in it! I know it's an eye catcher, and definitely M WORTHY since I did custom design and oder my baby! The only thing most people will not like is the stiff ride, which is what I would expect in a car that is an ultimate driving experience!Aug 24, 2008

this car is a pretty good quality with an turbo switch to make the engine in turbo mode
M3 is a good car with ABS and ARC
this car was pretty fun to drive and control
but without the turbo switch, the car will start spinning because of the power ration balenceJul 25, 2008

Absolutely amazing car to drive on the track. Amazing power due to lighter weight, but very twitchy on the edge...

I went for the 6-speed manual transmission instead of the solenoid operated thing. I've had it up to 136 mph (verified by GPS) and it still had top end to spare. Believe it or not, I've never gotten a speeding ticket in this car (but I just got one in my Grand Cherokee).Dec 29, 2007
