The plusses; Its a good design, lots of space for all the passengers inside, with a very easy to clean interior. The seats all fold flat for a large sleeping area or the rest seats fold against the wall for an impressive amount to space for the footprint. Perfect for active, outdoorsy types. The problems: Very few power options,. Only the front windows roll down, the rear and sunroof (if equipped) only open on a latch. The rear seats are not next to the rear windows. I cant imagine spending any time in them would be enjoyable. All in all its a good fit for an active single or couple, not a family vehicle. Sep 27, 2020

I like the space in this honda. It drives nice too.. The best car I have ever had. It needs to have different back windows. You cant open them enough for ait flow and for my dog. The sunroof dosnt open anymore then 2 inches so we dont even use it at all. But it would be nice to open it all the way without taking it all out and spending time doing that. The doors need to be made so the front doors dont have to open first. I have to unbuckle then open the door so the person can get into the back and get out.May 28, 2014

Fun to drive,great load capacity,fun camping vehicle,,good accelleration,great brakes,cold airconditioning,has towing package we towed a Boat to Vermont with easeand then back to Florida.Non smokers owned car.No Accidents.Gas milageand repair costs fair.Just had50,000 milecheck,new battery good for 6 years,new timing belt,transmission fluidchanged and replaced,tires rotatedand balanced,oil changed every 300 miles.Jul 22, 2011

I was diagnosed with a catastrophic disability. So I wanted a car that was considered the most “Reliable.” I was driving a sports car that I purchased brand new, 15 years ago. The car was a Chevrolet and after 15 years and 120,000 miles the car never had any problems. I decided that I require a SUV type vehicle to meet the need of my disability. Everyone told me that Honda was the most reliable, durable and long lasting. Well, this was not the truth. My New Honda element experienced severe problems beginning on the drive home from the dealership. The Honda was driven lightly, never abused and never went more than 35 miles from home mostly because it was not reliable. The engine mount broke, the axles broke, the brake rotors rusted to pieces in months, the tires needed replacement after 15,000 miles, the lug nuts would fall off. And the list of problems goes on for two pages. Honda was willing to fix all of the problems, provided I pay for everything. The cost of the repairs is now as much as the cost of the entire vehicle. When I communicated these problems to Honda they were unwilling to accept any responsibility. Honda stated that they could find nothing wrong with the car; however Honda was always willing to repair the car at my expense, and then tell me nothing is wrong. This is the worst car I ever owned and I have owned dozens of cars. The car is not reliable. The car is not durable; parts literally fall off on their own accord. (Could not resist) This car will not be drivable for much longer even thought the total mileage is 60,000 miles. Worst of all the dealerships refused to take responsibly for their own poor service and for their own new vehicle. Honda the corporation ignored the problem until the vehicle was many years out of warranty. The features of this car are amazing. First off, the suicide doors are so handly getting a child into and out of a carseat, along with the rubber floor makes cleanup a breeze. The car has decent performance on flat land, struggles a little on hills. It's a fun car to drive, and well put together. I just wish the gas milage was a little better (21-24)Aug 09, 2008
