This review is of the 5 door Yaris T3. Overall I have had a very positive experience of this little city car. Its I a fun car to drive with a sporty feeling to the gearshift and steering. It is relatively fast as long as you keep the revs above 3500 it is very nippy. I did a 150 miles in this little car and it was very comfy and at no point did I feel like I was in a small, easy to park, city car and it managed an amazing 49mpg at 70 mph. As for its carrying capacity, okay, the standard boot is a bit small but it can cope with the weekly shop. However if you drop one seat it can easily cope with three sets of skis and boots (from my own experience). As I am normally driving i have on good authority from my friends that the rear seats are spacious enough even for two 6 foot tall guys. If its a short journey 3 people can survive in the back. The build quality is exactly enough not to much or too little, just what you would want and need. If I could change anything it would be to make the headlamps better and make the indicator clicker louder as it is easy for an indicator not to cancel and not be heard. It is fairly robust and if something does take a prang (ie a bumper) it simply pops back into place. Overall its a great little car that can be driven to work or for fun.Jan 13, 2009
