Kept up with the maintenance like clockwork so the only thing I've ever had to do was replace the battery once and the brakes twice in 110K miles. No other problems whatsoever. The car is really easy to service since I have the factory shop manual and a ton of experience. Jul 17, 2014

This is my 2nd IS300. I like the performance and handle of this vehicle. This v6 vvt engine give plenty of power to curising up and down on the freeway. Steering is effortless and precise on the road. Great vehicle to have.Jul 23, 2013

Lexus outdid themselves with this one. Its a sporty luxury sedan that is a blast to drive. Too bad they only made this model from 2001-2005. Im just glad to be an owner and experience this amazing creation. Thank you Lexus!Feb 25, 2013

this is my racer daily commuter 375 hprwd drifter. intake is injen suspension is tein wheels are ssr tanabe sway bars i luv this car it handles well good punch off the line and eats hondas for lunch. can u say sleeperMay 06, 2010

Affordable performance! Nice power band from the factory and responds well to upgrades. I have an intake and custom straight through exhaust and it sounds amazing! Id like to get rid of some of the body roll by getting some Tein springs under it and a set of Anti Roll bars as well, after that ill probably leave the suspension alone(not a track car afterall, just having fun on the roads leading to work and back). Its fast enough... hugs the curves and does pretty good in the snow for a rear wheel drive car. The clutch mysteriously went out and gas mileage is way awesome. I love driving this car, and so does everyone else that does! Aug 02, 2009

The car needs more power. It needs to have a turbo and be more like a sti or evo without the all wheel drive. It looks really nice though as long as you dont drive off the road. haha hahaJul 24, 2009

Great acceleration, handling is a bit iffy but it's what to expect in a RWD car, good build quality (toyota rules), decent appearance (wish it was a different color but w/e), mileage not great but is expected with this kind of car, really fun to drive!!!!!Mar 16, 2009

Performance: The IS300 performs very well for a small sedan. However, I would of liked a factory tuned turbo setup. I think a turbo would of complimented the smooth design and feel of this car. Handling wise, the IS300 needs wider tires and definitely needs to be lowered.
Quality: It's a Lexus, so the quality is obviously there.
Appearance: Body lines on car flow very smooth from front right to the back. The interior of this car is also very clean, comfortable, and simple. However I personally do not like the orange colour on the dash and cluster.
Cost: The car uses 91octane, so gas can get pretty pricey. Maintenance wise, the car is a mix of quality "Lexus" and powerful "Toyota Supra" parts. Which can make this car a bit pricey to maintain. I think its worth it, especially with all the aftermarket parts out there.
Fun factor: This car is fun to drive and would be even more fun with some of those aftermarket goodies. EX. lowering kit, wheels/tires, a turbo (my favourite), etc. I think this car would be a good buy for young enthusiasts.Jan 23, 2009

Car is put together better than I had expected. Not particularly fast, but handles well, and has never, I repeat never, had to go in for service or repair. I've only seen 1 other IS in my color, which is a bright red. Too many out there are gray or silver, which makes them all look like a cheap Toyota or Honda.Oct 22, 2008

year ago. it´s got tte´s full bodycit brakes,
suspension, grill and 18 inch rims. the engine is
also got a tuoch up by tte´s performance proÂ
´s
whith full flow exhaust and headers, air intake
and the injectionsystem has been rebuilt by tte
also.. it runs good:) the best luxury/sportsedan

Lexus! Need I say more? Excellent power and handling. Its a Lexus so it will run forever if you do the general maintnence on time. Lexus can get pricy to get fixed I got the oil changed and it was 100 dollars. A squirrel chewed up a wiring harness trying to nest . It cost me 1000 dollars to get it fixed.Aug 27, 2008

This is the best car anyone could possibly own for the money!!!!Its not the fastest car in the world but it has the supra engine so it would be very easy to make it quick. its got more luxury then sergios 350z. Maintenance is easy but it takes a lot of gas and its the supreme.Aug 06, 2008

Love my car! :)..its a 2003 and has 46,000 miles on it. I try and keep it as clean as I can as much as possible..this is a problem because I care too much about it. I am having alot of fun driving it up here in Tallahassee because there are hills, but its kinda hard..very different than south Florida..Jul 28, 2008

styling and stance the first time I saw the car. Bought
it a few years after introduced. Have been enjoying
the car, except for the Premium gasoline requirement.
Performance is great, and as a Toyota product,

well for one thing: it's fast. very quiet, stops on a dime, handles beautifully, many safety and anti-theft features. I've only had one problem with it so far and that was a rear main seal leak. After getting that fixed, I drove it from FL to NC and back without a problem.Jun 25, 2008

The plan was that when I got older and was ready for a sophisticated car that this would be that car. Now that I have it already I am hopeing to keep it in great condition and bring it up to my personal vehicle standards. This car will be the first car I plan on buying nice rims for.

I wasn't a fan of Lexus until I've started looking for one to buy. I spent 1
month looking for the perfect IS300 that I've wanted as a Daily Driver.
Truthfully, I did come across a few unpleasant ones that just could not
be my perfect IS300, so I chose to wait for the perfect opportunity....
and there she was. Overall, I think I've got what I've paid for--every goddamn

I love the handling and the directness of the power. The throtle response is outstanding in "Manual" mode, it is as responsive as a stick shift. It hugs turns for days and i have not been able to get it to break traction while going through the canyons.Jan 11, 2008
