My car was purchased for the sole purpose of being used as a private hire taxi and is the 2.0 HDi VTR version so has quite quick acceleration and sharper braking.
The car has the hydrogas ajustable suspension so you can adjust the height of the car but to be honest this does not play well with the handling of the car round corners as it tends to lean to one side and can be quite uncomfortable for passengers.
The car isnt the best looking of cars but its is comfortable to sit in for long journeys and the suspension makes you feel like your floating on air!!
As a taxi it has had a lot of wear and tear as i write this my car has just clocked 114000 miles (was brought with only 26000 in June06) but the build quality both inside and out has stood up to this and i have only had miniscual things done to it to keep it on the road.
The car is a diesel and with the price of fuel being so expensive i try to fill up as little as possible, but the car delivers about 40-45mpg whilst im driving in town traffic ans usually 25 quids worth of diesel can last 2 days depending on how much mileage i do in a day.Sep 10, 2008

C5 2.2 HDi Executive Estate Automatic, tip tronic 4 speed gearbox. Hydralastic suspension gives a smooth ride and extra height when required - also has Sports mode which toughens it up a bit, can go very low when stationary (there is also a button in the boot to do this too). Aug 12, 2008

Well, very comfertable car, very nice to drive, yet it does have alot of Con's, i owned the 2.0L version, it was very slow, it's very heavy thus the 2.0L engine isn't enough, other than that the built quality is really poor, alot of problems with electrcity, oil system, pressure units and so on, errors on LCD screen on a daily basis, antipollution system that cost me ALOT of money ...Jul 08, 2008
