This is a comfy car to drive. Working on fixing it up. Hopefully make it go a little faster. More style too. I got the car from my grand father. It is an '01 with less than 90K miles on it.May 24, 2014

I liked this car initially because of how it looked, it runs good, and has always been reliable for me. I didn't like that I had to fix so many things over the period of owning it, such as fixing the A/C, buying new tires, and replacing the brakes, but I guess that goes for a lot of cars. Overall, it has been a good car to me. I would like to keep it, because it was my first car ever, but I need a car with more space and 4 doors.Sep 07, 2012

The luck comes out of hood, Impressive for a showcase and tourist to travel throughout for thousand of miles, from places to places while it travel, it will get us over there less than a second or even a minute.Nov 21, 2011

Loved it. The engine died in August but i enjoyed every minute with my stratus
haha. It constantly needed oil changed and I couldn't figure out why but besides
that I can't think of a problem. It was fun to drive, wasn't the fastest car ever but

Fun to drive. Makes you feel better when you can mod a car when it's not a very mainstream. Not very expensive to own, right now it gets horrible gas milege. In the process of getting the car to look perfect.Sep 08, 2010

Crumple zones and airbags work well in a front end collision. Brakes could have performed better to avoid said collision, but you can't win 'em all. This car is a blast to drive, and handled like it was on rails. Aug 12, 2010

This car drives no different than the 1st day I drove her off the lot. This car is quick, handles like a dream and is fun to drive!
I have kept this car garaged since I purchased it new. I have kept all scheduled maintenance on car. My Stratus looks like brand new, I turn heads when ever I am out on the road.
The gas milage is unbelievable for a high powered engine. 30 to 33 miles freeway and 26-28 in town.

Performance - 2.7L V6 MAGNUM engine, 0-60 6.5secs, adequate handling, nice deep exhaust note (w/aftermarket setup)
Build Quality - Ok, suspension needs work after 150,000 miles
Appearance - styling is good inside and out (one of the best interiors in a Dodge)
Cost of Ownership - 20 mpg, about $500 yr for maintenance (after 150,000 miles)

I like this car a lot. It is pretty quick and it looks sick.. I've only had minor things wrong with it like the alternator went bad and its leaking oil

I've done just a little bit of work since I was here last. It's lowered, solid motor mounts, etc.(See Modifications) The cost of ownership on this car is er, less than stellar, but it dust have 100 miles short of 180 on the original drivetrain minus the clutch, so I guess it's doing alright.
Great performance for what it is, even if it is a little heavy.
The quality of the product, even newer ones, isn't that great. The dash is cracking horribly, which is something that plagued almost all of these cars, including the 3G Mitsu Eclipse, which the car is based off of.
The outside, IMO, is sexy as hell, I mean, it's almost a viper mini me. The interior looks good, it's just it's lacking the quality.
I've put a ton of work in this thing since I've bought it, some necessary, and some not necessary, but overall, it's not a cheap car to own.
This car, is a blast to drive, if you've got a decent paying job, you'll be able to afford to keep driving this car. I mean, I've beat the crap out of it for almost two years....yet, it always seems to want more.Nov 05, 2009

Loved this car, it was Great on gas and it was bright red!
Moon roof, leather seats and a nice sound system. I got it up
to about 125mph but I'm sure it could go faster. I've never

The Dodge Stratus SE is a great car if your just going back and forth to work or on the highway alot and since it has 2.4 litter motor its pretty good on gas. One of the down falls about this car is that it bottoms out alot even more than most sedans and the tie rods and barings don't seem to last very long. I also was surprised on how well this car did on the ice this winter.Aug 31, 2009

This car has been great to own. I would say performance wise, the 4-cylinder engine is lacking in horsepower especially for the enormous weight. I believe it started life with 110 hp, but quite a few horses have escaped the corral. Fuel economy suffers because of this lack of power since it takes too long to get up to speed. However, it is fun to drive and I have taken it around the bends at....good enough speed. I've never had a problem with the braking, but I also have found that I like the brakes a little on the loose side. Overall, as far as a 4-door sedan is concerned, I love driving this car.Aug 16, 2009

Its cheap, but has enough power to drive normally. Parts are inexpensive and gas mileage is decent with 28 or so. Its fairly reliable for a dodge and isnt too bad to drive. the suspension is too loose and steering is just OK. Jun 09, 2009

I love the look and feel of this car. It handles very well , has plenty of power to get you moving in a hurry and gets pretty good gas mileage to boot. This is overall my favorite car I've ever owned. Its just one of those cars that a blast to drive and keeps me smiling and looking back, every time I get out of it. It's a keeper!Apr 14, 2009

I am not a fan of this car, in fact I wouldn't wish this car on anybody. For a six cylinder it was very quick. It had the fake-o-manual, which killed the fun. And it was problematic, with faulty fuel pumps and the like.Dec 28, 2008

I loved the wood on the interior. Also, the power lock, power windows were a nice feature as well. It was a four door with a massive trunk and a fold down seat in the back for easier trunk access. My car was really fun to drive anywhere, even to the store. I would highly recommend this car.Aug 31, 2008

It was a really fast sporty car I had in high school. It handled great and got great gas mileage. It had a moonroof and I had subs. I do miss that car a lot. It sure turned a lot more heads than my current car. Plus it was fast!!!Aug 08, 2008

* Build Quality - average, had some problems but minor
* Appearance - nice interior and exterior, no blemishes
* Cost of Ownership - good gas mileage before modifications, average after, had numerous issues with front brake towards the end if its life

Takes off real nice. Drives nice. Transmission gets crappy after about 120k miles. Four Speed does not speed up as quick as 5 speed manual. Some Parts are expensive to buy for it. But overall the car looks and runs great. Wouldn't wanna give this car up anytime soon. Jul 11, 2008

The 4spd transmission is not as fun to drive as the 5spd manual but it
still does the job. the car is very quick on acceleration and handles well
at high speeds. The Venom chip makes it difficult for regular driving, just

The 3.0 liter V6 Stratus coupe has a Mistubishi engine and shares a platform with the Eclipse. It has a decent acceleration but I would recommend a manual transmission if possible.
The Stratus has a unique interior and exterior styling which makes it stand out against similar competing models but also make sit difficult to find many aftermarket or replacement parts. The two-door has a large trunk space and a comfortable amount of rear-passenger leg room. Bucket seats make the Stratus feel lower than other two-door cars and the fabric is easy to clean and very durable. Mar 15, 2008
