Want something that will last. Thede models have an excellent track record. From practical experience, make sure the timing belt has been replaced on an older model. Toyota recommends changing the belt every 100,000 miles. Dec 03, 2022

I have owned 2 1999 land cruisers. My current one is at 275k miles and going strong. It is such a robust off road vehicle, most modern four wheel drive vehicles cant come close to the cruiser they should stick to Forrest service and dirt roads. I lifted mine with an iron man kit with diff drop and SPC upper control arms. Mine will go anywhere with locking diffs, you have to try to get it stuck. Heated seats, sunroof, loads of leather. Everythig is good about it drives very well even though it is almost 11 years old and gone camping alot. This was taken last year at Fraiser island last year. The car has done 130,000ks and has a very good interior. fitted with frount and bak bull bars, LPG and alloys. This car still has good acceleration faster than a normal onroad car. Build Quality is perfect. The only problem is its to big for city life.Oct 27, 2009

Sand o, mud o, potholes o, gullies o....it just keeps going.
Speed? Na helele! Balance nko? E get am by the trunkful! Acceleration...that wan na wa! And na correct alaaru to boot!!

I bought this car new in Abu Dhabi to use in the mountains and deserts. Now I use it as a safe and comfortable transport for me and my kids on the roads in Sweden.
