I bought it from a lady. I didn't get title. I got the car to work. It did good. There were minor problems, I blame more on the previous owner not taking care of it. Generally it was a good car.Sep 16, 2014

This is the worst car I've ever had . For a 2.5l v6 the engine sucks . The dash peels back cause ford sucks and pretty much the rest of the car is freaking terrible . I can't wait till I get a new car so I can personally push this POS off a bridge...Mar 25, 2013

Performance: Lots of power for a economy 4 door because of the 2.5 v6 Plus it has a 5 speed so you have the fun factor.
Build quality: I got it as a reconstructed car and there is very little damage but it set off the airbags which broke the windshield which is a dumb design flaw.
Appearance: Looks pretty sporty for a 4 door sedan, stock wing.
Cost of ownership: Cheap so far but i have some basic maintenance things to do to it soon.
Fun Factor: Sporty little sedan with plenty of power for a little bit of fun Dec 07, 2010

My car is ok, its not the greatest but it is ok. It has some get up and go, and is great on gas. It has some speed so it is nice to drive for far distances. Overall a decent car.Jun 21, 2010

Performance: Accelerates nicely, handles well.
Build Quality: Solid and reliable if you keep up with the maintenance.
Cost of Ownership: Gets about 28 mpg hwy, 20 mpg city.
Fun Factor: OK to drive.

Performance- good acceleration, braking, and handling
Build Quality- Alternators don't last long and are hard to replace, Coil springs prone to breakage
Appearance- nice styling with smooth body lines
Cost of ownership- gas mileage is good, alternators don't last long
Fun factor- Very easy to drive and fun to drive. The V6 has plenty of power and the gears in the 5 speed manual are just right for fun spirited drivingNov 01, 2009

Performance,acceleration, braking, handling-all pretty good. Build Quality, has it needed repairs,, does it squeak/rattle-nope. Appearance both interior and exterior styling, it looks nice.Cost of Ownership, gas mileage, maintenance, overall its pretty cheap.Fun Factor, is this car fun to drive? I love this car, its always been faithful and it is pretty spunky and i can hit 100 mph no problem. As for acceleration, its not bad at all. Its very fun to drive and i am quite glad mine is a manual.Sep 01, 2009

I LOVED my Contour, it was the most comfortable car I have ever driven and it fit all of my friends comfortably. Being 6'6" finding a car that I have legroom in is hard to come by. It was able to haul a** when needed also.Jul 29, 2009

Good little run around car, not somthing to brag about though... Sheetmetal is very easily dented, car runs rough with the ac on. The five speed is a must, the car is powerless up hills. good cheap ride, fairly cheap to fix.Jun 04, 2009

Bought this car for 10k some years ago, with 47k miles. It goes 0-60 a lot faster than my subaru, has quick braking and turns on a dime. Great mileage for an old car...I'ce worked it to 79k miles and all i had to do was replace the starter. It's a comfortable, quiet car...it's great for the city or highway. The Ford Contour I bought runs good and is comfortable to drive, but the parts on it are extremely cheaply made and break very easily, especially the handles to roll up the windows. All 4 of them broke and I can only get them at the dealer, for $16.00 each. That's insane! On top of that, the majority of the parts that break are only available from the dealer at HUGE prices. The dipstick broke because it is made of cheap plastic, and it broke off right at the dipstick tube, so I almost didn't get it out. The dashboard curled up due to heat from the sun and can't be fixed, only replaced (by the dealer of course).
The car has been a constant annoyance and I can't wait to trade it in on a non-Ford auto as soon as possible. I HATE this car and now I know why everybody rags on Fords. They are very cheaply built and you can't get replacement parts anywhere except the dealer.Jun 15, 2008
