The performance is spectacular, nice acceleration- braking-superb handling. The
appearance is the real deal cause after installing aftermarket parts it just beats
all. Besides its soooo fun to drive and the voice is just perfect . To summarize it

The R33 Nissan Skyline has been my dream car for a long time. It is pricey to run, it is expensive to fix. Regardless of these problems though it's still awesome fun, very quick, and i love how it looks.Oct 20, 2009

A bit weak on the HP side, handling is superb, beats Porsche, nothing has boken down yet. I just love it and this I would recommend to everyone that wants a quick car with great handling but doesn't care much about gas prices...Oct 16, 2009

Great 2.5L single turbo coupe that's fun to drive and handles fantastic. Modified exhaust, suspension, intercooler and bodykit as well as a boost controller to manage boost pressure on demand. It has been bulletproof while in my garage. Plenty of mod cons to satisfy everyone.Aug 25, 2009

This is Skyline - no further comment required! If you're a sportscar officionado
you've read the reviews. If you're a gamer you've owned virtual versions of it
in video games. If you're a Gran Turismo fan, tears are coming to your eyes
right about now.
It took me a few days or so to get accustomed to the power and handling a
rear wheel drive sportscar, but after a brief learning period, I was off to the
most enjoyable driving experience of my life thus far. This car handles like its
on rails, accelerates like a bat out of hell, and responds to aftermarket mods as
though it were a blood-thirsty demon! If only there were top-rate tuners and
mechanics available (where I was living at the time) to appropriately modify &
tune this car, it would have seen so much more potential. YellowBird, forever!Jun 17, 2009

Bought this car as first Australian owner. Interior was perfect with only minor wear. Steering wheel has been re-trimmed in Japan and indicates that the mileage is much higher than indicated. Rather than a negative, this just increases awareness of the build quality of this vehicle. Engine very strong and not too bad on petrol. Build quality far in excess of Australian made car, parts not as expensive as expected. Excellent drivers car with 4 door practicality. Aug 30, 2008

Very able and capable car with a silky smooth 2.5 turbo (garrett).
The most tuneable car in the world!
Remove the silly two stage boost system & enjoy full boost at low revs! Mental!
Advise fitting better cooling and oil cooler if uprating the BHP to over 300.
Expensive on fuel when driven hard but who cares?! It's so enjoyable to drive!

I don't know why Nissan never brought this car to the US officially. If it did, it would have made a killing for sure. It was a car whos performance set the bar for all others, and beat them in both price and reliability.
The Skyline GTR has an inline six 2.5 liter engine with twin turbos powering an intelligent AWD system similar to the Audi quattro. the rb25 engine was so durable, many tuners acheived 1000hp without extensive modifications, but 500 or more were easily obtainable by most.
Various models of the Skyline, including sedans, 2wd versions, and even a wagon were sold in Japan from the early 90s to 2002 with model designations of R32/R33 and R34 chronologically. All skylines were right hand drive, complicating their sale outside japan and europe.
My car and other were brought to the US and modeified to comply with federal motor vehicle safety standards by a company named Motorex, which has since gone out of business due to improprieties involving the import process. The DOT has since rescinded import eleigability for all Skylines, and with Nissan's upcoming debut of the new GTR, it seems unlikely any more will reach US shores legally

400bhp and more electronic wizardry than you could imagine. This car has warp factor 9 under the bonnet. However, for pure driving enjoyment, I'm sure there are other cars you'd pick first. To get across the UK quickest though... try and catch me in this. Playstation and Xbox made these cars truly famous for teenage youths!Jan 07, 2008
