I brought the SUV in 1995 and it never needed anything other than routine maintenance
this thing is a work horse I have used it for home depot runs hauled tile , cement, paver stones , toilet, interior doors, hood for my Mazda millennium etc.
put six passengers and myself in the SUV and drove in style to Virgina with luggage on top..
{Hands Down Best Purchase Ever}

Still looks good for 1994 Model year, 4WD Hi & Low, makes Land Cruiser the perfect SUV for bad weather & snow driving, yet very reliable, Toyota Land Cruiser is the SUV to have since the value keeps going up due to the demand.Oct 04, 2011

The best 4x4 car in the market, owned for over 15 years, cost me 42,000 sterling pounds, best investment ever done, only services done on it,non engine problems,267,000 km on the clock, still sounds like music.Performance, you can get to anywhere with a bit of 4x4 driving experiance,as fun drive, no better way to say it.Oct 02, 2009

I purchased my Landcruiser specifically for the bad weather (snow) over 2 years ago. I simply love this vehicle! It has seen some really bad snow conditions and has performed flawlessly. I rank it up there with the Hummer and Jeep 4X4 lines for its capability. I will always have a Landcruiser in my driveway. Maintain it well and it will take care of you. Far too expensive to purchase brand new, so buying used is the only way.Feb 12, 2009

This is the best truck in it's class, the only thing better than this truck is an 80 with more work done to it. These go well straight out of the box. The fuel economy is not too bad considering it weighs 3 ton and has a 4.5 litre petrol motor. It goes pretty much anywhere off road you want to point it.Aug 07, 2008

Fantastic 4x4 up here in the north-west Montana Mountains! We love it overall with only one dislike, the milage! Working on that change with a hydrogen system added to the gasoline fuel to improve milage, performance and cleaner oil with fewer changes. Now we are getting (with a 60 mile commute a day) 14.5 miles to the gallon, with Hydrogen system around 21 miles to the gallon with more power.Apr 19, 2008

All mechanical parts such as engine, transmission, and suspension work great even after
14+ years. Seats 8 people including driver, and is great for getting people places whether
it is around town or off-road for camping. 2nd and 3rd row of seats fold down and can fit
multiple bicycles or constructions supplies easily. Interior materials and trim look cheap
and plastic but are resistant to most damage and dirt. Screws that hold interior trim fall
out from road vibrations and cause small interior pieces to fall off. Engine seems to be
finicky in terms of maintenance to work perfectly, but no matter what it will get the car
moving if you need to.Apr 07, 2008

This is Josh's truck. And he loves it. We haven't had any huge problems with it or anything, I just don't really like SUV's. I'm more of a car person.Mar 29, 2008

Great travelling car...Saw every state of australia and never skipped a beat. Plenty of room in the tray for camping trips. Plenty of power from the 4.2 diesel, enough to hurtle the brick along at 140kph all day. Turned alot of heads in Sydney City traffic...maybe because of the huge bull bar, rallye 4000 lights, 4 aerials, canopy, n a weeks worth of road grime and mud. Also can do U turns on the Harbour bridge....got into a little trouble over that. :PMar 19, 2008

very very capable vehicle offroad. limited mainly by suspension travel, or lack there of but modifications can rectify that easily enough. on road the ride is more agricultural with leaf springs all around and live axles. with the ability to seat 11, fit a full size double mattress in the back, 180L of fuel standard and plenty of room on the GVM they make a very good vehicle to set up for touring. the interior is very basic and straight forward, it lacks airbags and other more advanced electronic controls. standard they come as a 4.2 naturally aspirated Diesel which lacks a lot of grunt, adding a turbo charger makes a noticeable difference but it is still not a sports car by any stretch of the imagination. Because of the square lines of the vehicle it is relatively easy to define the boundaries of the vehicle. the seats arent the most comfy in the world but again aftermarket items are easily available. Spares and Modifications like new suspension setups, barwork, wheel carriers, roof racks, drive line upgrades, and many others are easy to obtain. one thing i have noticed with my vehicle is that the transmission can get a bit noisy at 100km/h+ but i wouldnt be with out it, i cant think of another car that would let me do what this one does. -This is my first car (I am 15) and one of my huge things with cars is SAFETY, and to me this car seems like even without airbags it is extremely safe, i have readmany reviews and they all say how safe this car is. I live in Montana and you need a good car in the winter, and it is perfect, it is reliable and comfortable, it is amazingJun 27, 2007

I always wanted a TLC now that I have one. i love it except for the gas mileage (as compared to older Subaru wagon 25mpg)I am getting about 13 -14MPG and will change all of the lubricants over to AMSOIL and a K&N filter too. I have the official service book. This vehicle has over 200,000 miles and a clean car-fax too. I think it has allot freeway miles and also some salt damage underneath. But I think it was in Canada for while too. The engine runs silent and pulls like a mule too. Overall it is very nice and time will tell how it is going to be in the future. There are a few things appearance items that i will have to change and most likely to change out the stereo system with something that looks OEM but is not( it works but the CD player is does not like play once in while). The column covers need to be changed out because being broken. This vehicle will tow 5000 pounds too! So far so good. Mar 26, 2007
