This car is a modern classic. I had the station wagon which is roomy. With a 90 horse power turbo diesel the car was both economic and fairly quick. But a real smoker it was. I sold it for 35000 danish kroner in 2006Feb 02, 2010

I live in Indonesia and have two 405, a Green 1994 STI and silver 1990 SR.
Performance is accepted with very good handling and also it's very comfort car. My wife and my kids are enjoying this car. The downside is only gasoline, 1 for 6 - 7 kilos.May 16, 2009

Very good station wagon.
Acceleration very good, braking even better, handling very easy.
After several years of bad roads, very few squeaks and rattles.
Appearance very nice. Interior styling quite classy.
Gas mileage is reasonable, and maintenance is reasonably cheap, considering its age.
The car is lots of fun to drive on a trip to family holidays, carrying a bunch of kids plus the dogs off to the beach!Sep 23, 2008

The Peugeot 405 break handled better than the 405 sedan. It had the improved 92bhp turbodiesel engine which was a revelation at the time. Fast, comfortable, practical and supreme handling. The 405 wasn't over weight and I remember it as one of the best damped cars I've ever driven. Like most French cars, the ride quality and handling don't suffer from the underground you're driving on: good or bad doesn't matter.Aug 26, 2008

It's areally comfortablecar, it´s not so fast but it can run up to 150 k/h, it is a nice
color but the inside is alittle damaged, it can run u p to 37 km per gallon. it is really
fun to drive it cause it is smooth. if you want a family car this one is perfect.Aug 23, 2008
