My 1992 Tercel was my first car. I bought it when it was three years old with 60,000 miles on it. I Drove it for eight years until I unfortunately got into an accident totaling the car. The car had about 250,000 miles on when I had to say good bye to it. During the time that I owned my tercel It gave me literally no trouble. Just some brake work done, calipers froze up on me once. The Engine Started burning some oil at 200,000 miles, I was using about a quart every 600 miles or so at 230,000 miles. The Engine still ran great regardless. I had a 80 mile round trip commute to work for years in this car, mostly via interstate highway and I loved driving this car on the Highway. It would cruise along so smooth even at speeds in the 75 - 85 MPH rang sometimes even going 90 mph on the days I would be running late. The noise level in the cabin is a little high on the highway, but still quieter then most other cars of this class. I drove in a lot of bad snow storms in this car as well and for a car this size it handled pretty well on slippery roads. I never went off the road driving in Horrible snow storms on the interstate. It was a little tricky to change lanes on a snow covered highway. Overall this car was AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Dec 10, 2011

My folks bought me a new red 92 Toyota Tercel when I first moved on my own. I drove all over san francisco with this little red tercel. I named him Terry. We were close and i kept excellence maintenance and never had a single problem with him. Sold Terry to a friend who just recently had to part ways with him, 15 years later. Nov 23, 2007

I am writing about my 1992 Toyota Tercel. This was hands down the best car I ever owned. I bought her new and drove her to 130K in 3 years. She traveled the country with me. I never had a problem and she always started right up. I made the terrible error of trading her for a Geo Tracker. Yeah, I know big mistake. I had just moved to Florida and wanted a convertable. If you find one that is actually for sale, and you want a great cheap car, buy it!Jan 22, 2007
