I love my car. It looks great, handles like its on rails, gets looks. and has a full roll cage. Its Turbocharged and has plenty of torque. Everything is custom. Has 15" OZ Racing Cynos HRZ rims wrapped in 205/50/R15 Toyo Proxies R1R tires. Apr 09, 2010

Great basic transportation. Once of the most economical cars I have ever owned. Great on gas, cheap to repair and to own. Not a great looker nor is it a zippy car, but it works when it needs to and does everything at an adequate level.Apr 01, 2010

It´s a so nice car, rough construction, good engine, and the best of all, are so econo. The interior quality needs more detail but that is not the important. In general is the better car a ever know, because toyota is toyota.Oct 20, 2009

This was my first car in high school. My Dad bought it brand new in 1994 and it was in our family for it's entire existence. I inherited it in 2003 as a sophomore in high school with around 170/180k miles and I drove it until I was a freshman in college and the car had 220k miles! It was a great for me and my Dad. It had great gas mileage, was very dependable, never left any of us stranded, never had to make any major repairs to it. The most serious thing that ever happened to it was one of the brake calipers seized up on it at around 150k/160k miles. If I had that many miles on me my brakes would probably seize up too :D. That really was it as far as major repairs though, my Dad called the car a sewing machine because it ran tirelessly on minimal repairs and fuel. I don't even think we ever got the A/C charged but it blew ice cold until its dying day. It was a great car that was dirt cheap to run and sometimes to this day I wish I still had it! Definitely would recommend this or any Toyota to anyone!Aug 31, 2009

Okay first off I really didn't own it. I drove it for an extended period of time due to the fact that my Escort had moved on to Auto Heaven because some lady decided that she wasn't going to wait to make her left turn WHILE I was already in the intersection! Away, this things was a four-speed manual transmission and has the pick-up and go of a Power Wheel. Now this may in fact have to do with the blow-by in the engine, but for what its worth, it was pretty slow. The build quality I will say was awesome! The interior was nice and the car isn't a sore to look at on the outside. The cost of owning this particular beast was down right sinful! I was buying spark plugs almost every week or a least two weeks out of the month. Obviously this was a problem caused by the blow-by and not that the car would do that under normal circumstances. Also I had to change the oil like you would believe. Like very three weeks of so! Man if I had done this amount of work on any other car, it would run like a dream! The car wasn't a lot of fun to drive. It did it's job and that's all i can really ask for. Aug 28, 2009

This car lacks in performance for sure. But makes it up in its reliability and cost of ownership. This thing is bullet proof. I can take it off roading, jump it, even through water up to the windows and yet I still get 35 mpg. Anything that could possibly go wrong with this car can be fixed in a weekend at the most. well i would have to start off by saying that it is easily the toughest vehicle i have ever seen in my life! This thing has been to hell and back too many times to count! The biggest thing i love bout it is that i can ram it into a ditch and then take it outta the impound lot the next day and drive it home lol. and of course the gas mileage is amazing! the only bad thing bout the car is that i dont have the best of luck with the girls in it haha. and of course if u ever wanna race i will kick ur butt hahaAug 10, 2008

I like this car. It is a no-frills, dependable, small car that will run until the earth stops spinning. My wife and made a decision early on to not get rid of the car until we had run it into the ground. Well... the car outlasted us. We eventually realized this car would keep on chugging away. So we sold it. It is a great car whose only real drawback is that it is not safe enough by today's safety standards. That and there is absolutely no sound insulation. :)Jun 27, 2008

This was the first car I ever owned. It was small, cheap, and easy to repair. This car was also pretty good on the mileage front. The only problem with this car (as with other cars of this class and year) is that it was not a quiet ride (taking it out to the highway sounded as if you had a helicopter flying over you at all times). Overall a good first car to have owned. One other problem was that due to its small build, it would get pushed around the road fairly easily with any gust of wind. Jun 27, 2008
