Well I didn't like the fact that it was standard. This car made me hate Standards and never want one again despite the fact that my brother all like them. It was reliable, good on gas and cheap to repair. Once the body started rusting it REALLY rusted. I didn't mind this car, but i prefer my current car way more.Jan 23, 2009

Swift GTIs come in 2 conditions....very good or very bad. I'm one of the unlucky souls who got one in a very bad shape...almost everything including the engine had to be changed...cept for the chassis itself...but once its done up its a wonderful car..Tried one mint conditon GTI in stock trim and its already a breeze to drive...this car's enguine is rev-happy..8000RPMs? No problem...most powerful 1.3L engine in its class boasting a healthy 115 BHP...only downside is the gear ratios which can be a pain to drive in jams. and due to the lack of torque cos of its small displacement engine. Mileage is excellent as i've gotten 12km/l in this car with a worn engine. Hoping to get more out of it when my new engine is being rebuilt. handling wise, due to its weight @ 850KGs, it just handles the corners so well...slap in handling bits and the car just corners like on rails...i can even take turns 5,6,7 and 8 in the sepang F1 track w/o braking!! maintainence-wise expect to cough out a fair bit of $$ as its an old car already..dont expect it to perform like a spanking new car unless u go to the extent of replacing every worn part that u can find.Aug 09, 2008

a good first car, only cost 20 bucks to fill and got good k's out of it, 3 cyl yes 3.... 5 speed manual and less than a ltr capacity... was good fun in the wet, was a "slut" as everyone had a drive and went in it when i was doing my ITT, would recommend it as a good first car nothing more...
