Phenomenal car to drive and own. Comfortable and well made, Easy to drive. Not the fastest car but certainly a well rounded car. Fair handling fair acceleration, and nice top speed. Easy to work on and parts are reasonably priced. Nov 17, 2011

dont know why it come up 91 gti i have a red 98 gti i have and orian stereo system in it other then that its pretty well stock hoping this summer to make er work the way i want er to

another project i started,the shell had not one spot of rust,solid floors,just dented
shaved the hatch on it and relocated the licence plate into the rear bumper,the car was lowered 1 1/2 inch was a beauty!Sep 08, 2010

This is an amazing car. parts are dirt cheap and easy to find. working on the car is like playing with legos when you were a kid. it could always use a little more power, as most cars do. but the handling around tight corners is superbFeb 13, 2010

it's a really great and cheap car with good sound posibilitys.
clean and nice exterior not the worst engine but still fun to drive and "race" with :0) the handling is very good in tight bends and on dirt roads.Jul 07, 2009

I like how it looks like, I think its strong, durable, reliable, Fast, It has the cheapest spareparts, actually I believe in German cars, and I am proud that i own a GTI, um proud that I own a Golf, and I like mk2 because its weight is not very heavy, and it has a good handling in the same time Nov 01, 2008

It's a 5 door hatch, drop down menu doesn't cater for that, Graphite grey. Like it lots. its comfy as it can be being a hatch back from the early '90s. Mechanically, it seems to go on forever just like all the other Golfs. It's pretty much standard, apart from.......nothing. though even in my '30s, insurance firms still want to screw me over for it.Aug 05, 2008

I Love this car, it handles well and I love driving it. It is however getting old so parts are starting to wear out.
Im fixing things as I go along and plan to do a full re-furb, inside and out.
The pic is of a 3dr 16v GTi where as mine is a 5dr 8v GTi.
I'd recommend a Golf to anyone who was hesitant about buying one, thet're great fun to drive and very reliable.Mar 17, 2008
