A car that puts a smile on your face. Just dont buy a high milage one like me where everthing started going wrong. Typical french dash made of brittle plastic. Awesome handling. Great to drive. Very little rust for a 20 year old car.

to a tank of diesel the best 205 i have had a great fun little car to drive handles

Genuine factory 205GTi - pure fun to drive - great performance, great brakes, great seats, great sound, gear ratios to die for, great steering feel (no power steering!!). 230 KPH from an eight valve OHC engine, only weighed 900Kg. Marvellous little car.Feb 04, 2010

What can I say? I have had 3 205s, a cj, a Roland Garros and my
current Cherry red 1.9 GTI! which is truely the most fun I have had in
a car! Round small tight twisty bends my friends 230+ bhp impreza
struggles to keep up! They just grip like nothing else and really pull
out of the corners! Great car! It's a shame there aren't so many nice

its a 1.1, theres not really that much more i can say about it,
go for the 1.9 gti, thats the way foreward. it still handles
good but would be alot more fun if i had the power to cane it

I love my Peugeot 205 GTI (1.9l) special edition Miami (open roof). I bought it about 2 years ago and no major issues. 125hp for 880 kg empty wheight is nice to drive. I've bought it for 5.000 CHF (~4.500$). 205 GTI POWAAAAAAA. Hope I can have it for a long time.Nov 14, 2008

Iconic 80's hatch. No toys, no nonsense just awsome handling and plenty of power - even more to come with an engine transplant! Classic looks that in my opinion just get better and better and you can't beat a red carpet and black and red bucket seats! This car is easily the most fun car I've driven, and there have been a few. Yes it rattles and it was put together by a drunk Frenchman on a Friday at the end of his shift but I'm always smiling like a fool when I get to work. - Buy one!
If there was any justice in the world everyone would have one. So to sum up - Loved by real car enthusiasts, misunderstood by everyone else.

This car is the greatest thing in the universe on four wheels. I have never known another car with so much personality! It's light, over-powered and really small. Like a Go-Cart. You can chuck bits/engines from other Peugeots in it, it uses bugger all gas, it rewards you for driving like a lunatic... FASTJul 30, 2008

Small Peugeot 205 1.3 rallye was one of the best cars in N1/A5 class in the end of 80's and beginning of the 90's. It has 1300 ccm engine producing 100 horse powers. Weighted 750 kg 205 rallye is very fast car, and it's fun to drive it.Jul 27, 2008

A nice car to drive though a little on the small side often made getting in and out a bit of a challenge. The small 1.1 petrol never caused many problems and was quite nippy at low speeds although i did manage to get it up to 100mph, though it didn't sound to happy. At well over 100 000 miles i experienced many electrical probblems and a littel bit of welding to get it through MOTs.Jul 19, 2008

Probably the best handling car in the world. Rampant lift-off oversteer made it traicky in the wet, but you got used to it. Rattly and bumpy, but really compfortable seats and loads and loads and loads of power.Jan 17, 2008
