Performance - Very quick when in the powerband, even with an auto trans. Handling - Best handling for the money I've ever driven. Braking - Not amazing, but can lock all the wheels when neccessary. Looks - Very respectable platform, but mine needs paint badly. Interior - Bunch of little things missing or broken, but should be easily fixable. Oct 15, 2012

I'd like to say I miss my 1970's 2002, but I don't. The E30 is so much more. The E30 is aging well and gets alot of looks, according to my wife. Power is still contemporary and handling is excellent, improved by simple traditional modifications.Mar 19, 2012

Overall a great car, hard to find used in good condition, but the ones that are will be fairly expensive. Parts for the 87-91 E30's aren't too hard to find and quite a few options available for engine/suspension upgrades.Sep 12, 2011

German engineering's solution to Styling without sacrificing confort. The engines are near bullet proof, one of the best built of European cars! They are very sensitive to maintence unlike Imports. If neglect it can be your worse nightmare, $$$$. If taken care it will give you Fahrvergnügen!Jun 28, 2011

This is getting to be an old car, 293,000k and still runs very well. It has a bit of rust starting to show and I hope to refinish it this summer. I have 2 Jeeps Grands Cherokee's and they are used for driving to work. This is a very fun sports car and still makes some Mustangs do a double take when I leave them in second gear.Feb 27, 2011

Put yourself in 1984 when these first came out. 175hp and 2800lbs, RWD and unlike 95% of domestic cars, this thing can corner! They were a classy mans sports car for sure. In todays day and age, they may not be considered fast or even quick to some. But if you were like me, and didn't have $10000 to spend on your first car, but yet you wanted something RWD with enough power to have fun in, and look good at the same time........its the 325i e30. Reliable if you take care of it, and with such a strong motor, can easily handle a 300hp turbo kit if you want those mustangs to smell strait pipe. And with the german quality leather interior in my model, you will impress others. The classic german round headlights,BMW kidney grill, and a few modern day touch ups, and you will turn heads. bought it for $300 bucks. handles like a bimmer. accelerates like a bimmer. 2.5 liter inline 6, auto tranny soon to be 5 speed with a turbocharger... super fun to drive, small fast and rear whell drive... this car loves to drift with the automatic tranny. this is before electronic slip protection so its super fun hearin that engine whine up to 5 grand and hear the tires roasting pavementJul 29, 2010

Acceleration is amazing Handles like no other can and cheaper than most on gas, its also fun to drive needs a few reapairs but not bad and Has some cutome work done to the sound system and quite a few bumper stickers on the backNov 09, 2009

Good acceleration with m50 swap and m3 cams. Reliable 24v twin cam Paint needs work due to age but not bad with a buff good gas mileage if you drive like a lame so much fun to dive BMW!!! Turbo/SC coming soon! Oct 08, 2009

This car and along with every other e30 is one of the most solid cars out there. Awesome performance for a straight 6, awesome braking, suspension is legit. The car handles like it is on rails. i would never trade this car. It is such a blast eveytime i get behind the wheel.Oct 08, 2009

fun to drive, good looking, strong reliable engine, decently inexpensive. Good handling although it does need a little more power. Decent gas mileage - 20-25 mpg. Maintenance is pretty cheap if you do it yourself. It has a cool interior.Aug 02, 2009

Good handling and acceleration, nice R6 sound ;) Lowered 60/40mm with H&R sprngs and Bilstein Shocks. Azev A 16x9" with 215/40-16 Toyo Proxes T1R, it was like glue to the tarmac! The soft top was not rainproof at all (probably not the manufacturers fault), it was better with the roof off even if it's raining as long as the speed was above 50km/h. Jul 26, 2009

These 3-series are lovely - they look great from the outside, and they're a pleasure to drive, it shows great poise on the road - acceleration is great, brakes are a tad vague compared to modern brakes but they're more than adequate when ya get the feel of them.. It's quite thirsty, but I try not to use it for every-day runs. The rear wheel drive experience is excellent if you're carefull, personally I don't drift, diff or slide intentionally! The black leather interior really sets the car off with it's Delphin Grey paint. It scrubs up well on a sunny day! I spent about 2/3 years looking for a good clean version of this car, and I love the one I have - I'm not selling!Feb 09, 2009

For what is now an older, inexpensive car, the 325i is a reliable get around car with reasonable power relative to its size. Typical issues are brakes and interior. Paint, and new door seals are probably necessary by this age as well, but all in all a great buy. Mine has 234,000 miles.Oct 02, 2008

This beautifully engineered compact executive saloon from Bavaria is an excellent car. I bought it in the Summer of 2008 with 165,000 miles on it. The previous owner had installed a solid stainless steel short shifter, replaced the steering with an M3 rack, replaced brake rotors and lines with ATE components, and added Bilstein sport struts. The car drives superbly and quickly with these additions. Although the performance is the most important factor in my mind, what I really love about this car is the "Germanness". BMW designed the car to have classic sedan shape with conservative German lines, but still managed to make the car look powerful and aggressive. Consistent with German logic, the front axle steers the car while the rear propels it forward. To help achieve its 50/50 weight balance, BMW moved the axles forward, placed the battery in the trunk and added a full size spare with a matching steel wheel. In the owner's manual they've included procedures and warnings to adhere to when driving "enthusiastically" or when exceeding 110 mph. Overall, this is an excellent driving machine from Germany.Sep 08, 2008

This car is comfortable, has huge trunk space, fairly good acceleration with ok gas mileage, and has crazy turning radius. It just costs a lot when it breaks. The guys at jiffy lube didn't even know how to change my oil.Jun 01, 2008

Comfortable and power 4 doors sedan My uncle used to use this car to tow a 14" boat that go through twisty mountain roads. We do have some scary moments when there's cross winds but this car performs very well in general. My uncle got a lot of speeding ticket with this car but it saved his life once with a high speed maneuver. Mar 20, 2008

As I said my first car, overall a ok ride. This car was great the first year but after that I had too many expensive repairs that were all minor. The wait times for some parts to come in were crazy. A old friend of mine was working for a big dealer and if it wasn't for him I would of had to sell before I went to collage, He could do wonders for this car. But sadly she meet her fate.
